3. Copied the items in firefox root folder to the ram disk successfully

4. Put the code for firefox in the target section of fire fox.

5. Trying to open firefox after the above steps i receive a user profile error.

Is the Z: the letter of the drive the ram disk is on?

Try this:
1. Create a folder called FFCache in Ramdisk

2. Open Firefox browser, type: about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter.
3. Right-click browser.cache.disk.parent_directory and click ok
4. Type Z:\FFCache click OK
5. Z:\ is the drive letter of your ramdisk, change to your letter.
6. Enjoy super fast speed

You can create it manually.
1. Open 'about.config' right click anywhere on blank area select new and enter 'browser.cache.disk.parent_directory', click OK and then enter 'path to temp dir in Ramdisk (Important - The ramdisk directory must be created first) Once complete Restart FIREFOX and then Open 'about:cache' and check the path and change user preferences for cache size.
