This is the universal laptop adapter i am asking if it supports the laptop.

if you are speaking of HP Compaq 6910p yes it would work

It's another laptop; Smirk, I would suggest you to ask on their forum to know specifically the voltage the laptop is built to work at

As Partha stated. Also you need to make sure those I/O Jack plugs will fit your machine, some may have a hexagonal connector, others just a hole with pin.

Well I see that the wattage of that adapter is ample as the power rating for that laptop is 65w. The one you linked to is 90w. The original power adapter for that laptop has the conventional yellow tip on the end. I see the one you linked to has several yellow tips. I would think you would be ok but it is best to confirm.

What voltage on the power adapter would i need to set it to timster? I have the switch set to 18 on the adapter but i think im wrong because my lady told that when she used the power adapter it would start buzzing and making weird noises when the computer was starting to work harder but the laptop i got the universal charger for and used with didnt make any noise

18v 18.5v 19v .... I really do not think it makes a difference.as long as you don't go over 19v

Here is my input. The problem you can run into with these multi adapters is you have to get the correct Volts, Amps, Plug Size, and Polarity if any of these are wrong you could fry the laptop.

If you are using this on one laptop and have no intention of using it on another laptop then buy a single adapter design for your laptop, I thing the original spec for your adapter is 19V 4.74A 90W but please check yourself.

You should also check and search for the part no HP 239427-003) this will bring up the right power adapter for your model of laptop.

Multi adapters with change Volts, Amps, Plug Size, and Polarity, depending on the jack you use so if you use the wrong jack you can kiss your laptop goodbye.

Also check up about Regulated or Unregulated power adapters, hope this helps.
