Windows update is the first part of the fix, spectre needs a firmware update from your motherboard manufacture ie: BIOS update so whehther they release these or not we will have to wait and see. spectre is very hard to patch as is any hardware and it still may not be possible to fix only time will tell. ASUS have released some. Its a bloody mess and now the cat is out the bag and we are all left vulnerable Meltdown is probably one of the worst CPU bugs ever found

Meltdown & Spectre are very hard to fix and it may not even be possible to fix or patch them.
