All I'm trying to do is add his email to the outlook 2016 application.

To help you better I need to know more info

  1. Is the email account with BT?
  2. Have you tried what I suggested above?
  3. You trying to setup your own email address with BT? or BT Business?
  4. Have you contacted BT and asked for help?
Also take a look at this https://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/25554/~/how-to-set-up-email-using-a-new-bt-hosted-domain/c/5167/

Good news, I've managed to get one of the emails I've been trying to add to outlook added which was the BT one. I figured out using the office 365 online sign-on page worked for that email and I was able to get the settings to work with the outlook 2016 application that way since the BT settings didn't work (Yes I did try them, Yes I did call them). However, The other email I'm trying to add is still a problem. Trying to do the same thing with the second email only gets me as far as the sign-in page and I put in the details and click sign in then I get this ' Your account or password is incorrect. If you can't remember your password, reset it now. ' after clicking the forgotten my password option I proceed to put in the details but when I click next I get this ' The user ID you have entered does not exist. Please check that you have typed your user ID correctly. '

Does that mean that the email I'm now trying to add isn't associated with outlook at all?

I'm honestly not sure as they are domain emails, they don't have @outlook.com or @gmail.com etc at the end. They have the business name in them.

I got one of the three emails to work using Microsoft 365 online settings, the other two emails are somehow connected to the email I got to work as the emails for those go also go to the email I got to work. But when I go to see what accounts are connected it doesn't show any. So I'm confused, Really confused.

Here's a quick low down;

These are the accounts (pictures were taken from Windows Live Mail 2009, on customers old windows 7 machine)

Then I upgraded him to a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro on a new Samsung SSD and installed office 2016 professional plus.

NOW, all i've been trying to do since then is simply add those emails so he can start using Outlook (from 2016 professional plus) instead of using Windows live mail 2009 which is old and discontinued.

I ran into problems adding the emails, but I have managed to get the ' chaz@... ' email (which is also the DEFAULT email) to work after successfully logging into the office 365 online website, the other two emails don't work using that same method with office 365 online. So to recap I have now successfully added the ' chaz@... ' account to Outlook - office 2016 professional plus.

HERE IS THE TRICKY PART

All the emails are somehow linked because the ' admin@... ' emails are also received in the ' chaz@... ' email but on the ' chaz@... ' email settings on office 365 online, it doesn't show any connected accounts.

And when I try to sign into outlook using the ' admin@... ' and ' flash@... ' accounts, outlook says they don't exist.

base on what you  are telling me it could be the emails are not outlook email addresses

my best advice is Contact  Microsoft and explain the problem

base on  you said the client then access  to emails to send and receive

what you can use is Thunderbird https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ on still you get a solution to the problem with Microsoft

I did contact Microsoft but they said it is an advanced issue and I'd have to pay them a lot of money for advice. I tried Thunderbird but it doesn't like the ' admin@... ' and ' flash@... ' emails either.

Ok, from what I have read, it seems like you have bought separate domains. e.g @richtech.co.uk

Where did you buy them from? What is your Web hosting comapany? i.e 1and1, 123reg, etc.

Once you know your web hosting name, search for: "Webhosting Name email server settings" in my case I would type 1and1. Search results will appear with these. Or you could go to the main website directly and search.

For 1and1, here are settings:

https://help.1and1.co.uk/mail-c65093/manually-configuring-e-mail-clients-c41020/manually-set-up-e-mail-with-microsoft-outlook-a792640.html

Hope this helps
