How would nvidia gpu cache work with romex primocache?
#1
I have an Nvidia quadro nvs 285 that i am using in my computer.

The Nvidia quadro nvs 285 has cache that uses a portion of ram and so does romex primocache also uses a portion of ram that you have selected to use as cache.

(I have 4gb of ram installed on my system)

Will primocache and my gpu's cache work together or will there be conflict between the 2 whats every ones opinion?

You would be best ask them because I have never used your card with primocache. What sort of benefit you looking for by using primocache? would you see a noticeably difference?
I can say for sure when using my computer I see no noticeable difference. It works like Samsung rapid mode, its a placebo effect. I have seen no noticeable difference with rapid mode enable or turned off.

Here are some bench marks that look great on paper.

Read this test about rapid mode which is the same as primocache

I use primocache to help take the strain off my hard drive until i can come up with the money to buy an ssd but my mechanical drive is a sata lll 3gbps and according to disk mark im getting sata l 1.50gbps so primocache seems to help but i dont want the cache to conflict but work together

But i think software like primocache and the other ones only seem to have an effect on lower end machines because i doubt youll see any benefits on a high end machines but i have it setup on a dell dimension 8400 running windows 7 32bit
