Dell Inspiron 23 5348 All-in-One Desktop - Screen Flickering Red
#11
it could be a hardware problem or it could be the video driver

the reason why I am telling you to reinstall the video driver is that if the problem comes back

we already Eliminate the video driver as the problem

It's flashing Red?. Could be the signal from the cable that is sent to the screen is cutting out.
  • GPU could be defective?
  • Video cable could be defective and not transmitting the signal correctly?
  • Video cable is loose?
  • Possible graphics driver issue?
The only way to tell is by tearing down the laptop

Well thought I had better do an update. Sorry I've not been around but had family problems. Anyway it stopped doing for a couple of weeks and now it has returned this week. One problem that I've discovered with this computer is the graphics card is soldered into the motherboard so would require replacement of the entire motherboardSad

You will want to connect the computer to a known good external monitor to see if the color issue happens there. This will rule out a bad screen or vid cable.

Well been away for a few days and when I booted up the screen was pink even after not being on for a few days. I did a scan using Dell Support Assist on the video card and it passed. How accurate is the Dell Support Assist scans?

I still would check with a known good external monitor to confirm.
