Hard Drives not picked up in Windows or Bios
#11
Hi Brian thanks for the link

I read through it.

I'm awaiting for a new Sata IDE Adapter and also my Caddie to test, but ultimately I need to get this to a local computer place with a test bench where they can find out whats going on.
It sounds to me the Sata Configuration of the drives has messed up or it could be a problem with the Sata Controller on my aging motherboard so will have to see what happens.

EDIT
Another thing has come to mind - as I said in the beginning one of my HDD's is controlled by a Sata PCI Card one of these: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815158207
I know the driver is installed as it was working before I attempted to make a change by adding this hard drive, that drive is powered obviously by a Sata Power Molex and the Data Cable in the the Card - now that drive isn't seen at all!

I'm wondering if its a faulty PSU?

Hi all update for you.

I took my PC in to a repair shop still at a loss, the bad news 3 Dead Hard Drives!
The Good news they can be repaired as they need new PCB Boards a technician who is an expert in this area knows what he's doing as he had an identical job in very recently.
It will set me back around £330!

Meanwhile I reckon the dodgy Sata Power Adapter cause the problem so is there any way I can claim compensation from Amazon regarding this?

Thanks
Rob

you may have to look at the company that you buy cable return and compensation policies

just a word of advice it better go with hard drive docking in the future Inateck USB 3.0 to SATA Dual-Bay USB 3.0 Hard Drive Docking https://www.amazon.com/Inateck-Dual-Bay-Docking-Function-FD2002/dp/B00N1KXE9K/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=hard+drive+docking&qid=1551245482&s=gateway&sr=8-5

Hi an update.

Took my Computer to my local repair shop where I Volunteer, it turns out that I have an issue with my PSU, to have 3 Hard Drives Blow (PCB) Faults is bizarre
I have a new PSU from Corsair coming next week. But I'm most certainly considering upgrading my components in any time soon.

Cheers

Now another problem!

One of my Drives is starting to act really funny and I checked the Event Viewer and this is present...... (See bellow)

When I took my Computer into the repair shop they stress tested all my drives all where fine with no problems.
When I searched for this problem on the web, some where saying its device problem or a motherboard controller problem bearing in mind I've had this motherboard for almost 8 years now.
I have a new PSU en route from Corsair that should be with me at the start of next week.......

How do I upload an image into the forum?

Edit - it says the image is "too large"
