Windows 7 Home Premium, no matter what I've tried, can't get system restore to complete successfully. All necessary services are on automatic, disabled antivirus, etc., tried safe mode, tried repair install, tried the aforementioned again, nothing seems to work. Yes, I made a disk image prior to all of my attempts to correct/repair/fix system restore (AOMEI Backupper Standard Edition 2.2) don't trust windows with the other issues. Any ideas? Will it let you create a system restore point? or does it give you a error?

I have seen most system restore become corrupted because of malware

Can create system restore point manual, with ultra virus killer, and several other programs, when i run system restore, i have received error codes, 00x80070005, 0x000000b7, on several attempts, tried safe mode system restore, all fail.

Have Avast Free, MalwareBytes Premium, MalwareBytes Anti-Exploit Premium and Emsisoft Anti-Malware Premium, ADWCleaner & SuperAntiSpyware. I user Firefox with Disconnect, Adblock Plus, Self-Destructing Cookies, Web of Trust, & HTTPS Everywhere. Scanned with Kaspersky from CD. All scans are clean. No cookies, adware, rootkits, toolbars, nothing. Don't click on any googled search results that are not Green. Any programs I download are scanned with VirusTotal, MalwareBytes, SuperAntiSpyware, & Emsisoft. Very unlikely that any malware is on my laptop.

You might want to try and disable some of that protection and try again, sometimes these can inter-fear with system restore.
