Can we have your system specs? A good way to post your specs would be by following this guide. Perhaps your system is using 2 gigs for other services? More info is needed.

I have a Windows 7 disc that has all verisions both 32 and 64 and i installed the 32 bit version on my 64bit machine... but i generated a system report from under advanced tools and it said that it lost information while it was generating the report is this something i can fix or should i not worry about it if my computer is running like a champ?
i generated the report after i reinstalled the correct version and after the updates and drivers Quote:I have a Windows 7 disc that has all verisions both 32 and 64 and i installed the 32 bit version on my 64bit machine... but i generated a system report from under advanced tools and it said that it lost information while it was generating the report is this something i can fix or should i not worry about it if my computer is running like a champ? In essence you've answered your own question When installing 32 bit version Windows will not recognize all memory. It'd be better if you install the 64bit version and do the BIOS updates as suggested by Britec.
