Take screenshot using Snipping Tool

Taking screenshot of your error or issue your having with your computer is easy. Once you have your screen shot, you can post it on these forums so we can help you better.
(You can also use Print Screen key on your keyboard and paste that screen shot in paint.)

1. To open Snipping Tool > Click Start and type Snipping Tool in search box.
  • Click Snipping Tool to open program.

2. In top upper-left corner, click Drop Down Menu > Select "Rectangular Snip" tool.

3. To create a new screenshot > Click New

4. Hold left mouse button down and drag out over the image you wish to capture.

You can use basic editing tools in Snipping Tool to edit image, for example Highlight, Pen, Pencil

You can save the screenshot by clicking on "save as" then select image format you wish to save file in. (Snipping Tool saves the images as .gif, .jpeg, .png and .mht formats.)
