like to grab the info before it dies. I tried to do an image but it fails. However I booted with a live cd and copied the users data to a good drive

thank you no it's almost dead I have managed to save the data but it's not worth risking any more use as it has bad sectors and I'm trying to run harddrive regenerator to save it enough to clone or image the drive. Not looking good at the moment though

ok boot up the Linux live CD copy the Windows Live Mail folder to a flash drive the contacts should be there

the Windows Live Mail folder should in C Drive programs files

if its good has dead you may not be able to get it

that why backing up is so important
