I suppose it all depends on what your needs are for storage, most home end users may go for local storage, whereas businesses may find it more cost effective to do it via cloud services due to the lack of worry about damages (flood, fire etc).
But technically we all already use the cloud for storage simply by using the interweb!

I only use drive and Copy. They are both pretty good but with Copy you get 15GB Free whereas only 2GB Free with Drive but with drive it's all linked to your android devices. I don't like apple and would never use iCloud seeing as their are tools which can easily get into your iCloud.
