Does this fix apply only to XP (xp-exe-fix)  .....or others (Win 7) ?

Thanks.

Yep, done that. This is proving to be a bit of a nightmare to be honest.

Did a system restore before...to a date before the issue came about.
That didnt work.

Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still nothing.

Did a Registry Repair (Regsofts)...and nothing.

Tried your idea, but that didn't work.

And now I have done a "Check Disk" with repair.....and you guessed it, nothing !

There isn't any "virus" etc on the machine...I have scanned it with Malwarebytes full scan...and nada.
The machine is "clean".

It is just one program that isn't working (.exe). Everything else works.
I have tried the program on my XP laptop (and it works) and on a NetBook on Win 7 (and that works !).

So...my thinking is, it's "this" computer that has the issue, not the program (as it works).
The issue is, this is my main computer....and hence this issue is proving a real pain in the butt.

Absolutely any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Especially if I get it fixed as I need the program for work.

David.

Just as an after thought.....to show you my thinking.

I thought, is it the registry ?

Is it the file association ?

Is it the disk ?

But I have been down these routes....as detailed above.....and can't work out the next step.
