How To Slipstream Floppy SATA RAID Driver into Windows XP CDMost of the latest hard disk drives (sata) are not recognized by Windows XP during installation. The problem is that Windows XP does not support the latest SATA-AHCI or SATA-RAID hardware. The solution for this problem is to integrate sata drivers in Windows XP setup so that the hard disk is recognized by Windows XP setup during installation. That is what called Slipstreaming. The method of integrating installation files in Windows XP setup.
If you don’t have Floppy Disk Drive specially on your notebook/laptop and your Windows XP setup is not detecting hard disk drives. You can still install Win Xp but you need to read the “Slipstreaming SATA driver into WinXp boot cd using nLite” so that your hard disk is recognized by the windows xp setup
Step By Step Guide1.
Download and install nLite
2. Download SATA driver from manufacturer website and extract it to a new folder. My motherboard is MSI, so I downloaded the SATA driver from MSI.

Try Intel SATA AHCI Drivers from: Download Intel SATA AHCI Drivers for Windows XP3. If you have already downloaded extracted drivers then Jump on Step 10.
4. Now extract the downloaded SATA driver file. You can see a green icon “f6flpy32″.

5. Please extract the green file “f6flpy32″ and you will get a file with .IMA extension.
6. Browse the folder “f6flpy32″ using WinImage (download here) and then select the .IMA extension file.

7. You will see all the SATA driver files. Extract all the SATA Driver files to any folder(I name it “SATA driver” on my desktop) select all and extract.”.

9. The Folder will looks like below if you open the SATA driver” folder.


10. Run nLite, click Next.

11. Now you need to locate the Windows folder it’s “WinXp”.

12. Click Next on “Presets” and next again.

13. Select “Drivers” and “Bootable ISO in “Task Selection” and click on Next.

14. Select “Insert” – ”Single driver”.

15. Using WinImage browse to the SATA driver folder and select either one of the .INF file.

16. “Textmode driver” screen will pop. Select all of them by holding CTRL+A key and click on “OK”.

17. Click “Next” you will get a prompt.

18. Click “Yes” and start the process.

19. When it finishes click “Next”.

20. Create this as ISO image or burn it directly to CD-R under “Mode”. If you select “Burn” you will be prompted.

21. Click “Yes” to burn it to CD-R. When finish Click “Next”

22. Click on “Finish”

You now have a new Windows XP CD/DVD that contains SATA RAID drivers. Boot your laptop or desktop with the new XP CD and install as normal.
