BSOD on a computer with an integrated Intel video card

Description

A BSOD may occur on a computer with an integrated Intel video card that has Kaspersky Anti-Virus installed.

The following message is displayed:

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP.

Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x0000007F (0x00000008, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).




On 64 bit operating systems, BSOD message will have longer numerical values: *** STOP: 0x0000007F (0x0000000000000008,...).

This situation may occur on both, workstations and servers.

Reason

This situation may be caused by a stack overflow in OS kernel at the moment of providing resources to the video driver.

Solution

We recommend updating integrated Intel video card drivers to solve this problem. The following link can help, e.g.:
