What O/S did /do you have now ?

have you checked the Bios Battarry ?

How old is the computer ?

is it under warranty ?

do you have any insurance ?

make sure the bios battary is not dieing you may need to reset the bios using the jupers on some motherboards or bye removing the battary and replaceing it with a new one then set the bios back to its correct settings

Things to check and look out for are:

1. Heat issues (Clean out with air and check temps in bios pc heath, run bios on default settings)

2. Ram (run tests on run overnight)

3. CPU (unlikely, but possible)

4. PSU (test power supply and replace if failed)

5. Blown and Leaking Motherboard Capacitor (replace motherboard)

Hope this helps you out.

ok I am starting to get the picture you have a windows 7 install disk and you want to change settings in bios so you boot from cd but each time you do the bios freezes correct me if i am wrong ?

next

since the bios has been flashed it may not have taken did you get the bios flash from the manufacture and it has to be the correct one for that motherboard ?

don't know too much about flashing bios never done it however saying that i know about it becuase this has come up in conversation before

if it is the case of booting from cd you can do this by starting the computer and the minute you start the computer hit f10 rapidly and select boot from cd dvd

Do you get any error messages up ?

sorry for all the questions just trying to help Smiley

speak soon

iv ran test on my ram using Memtest86.
no error on any of my ram totaling 8Gbs.
heat wize its got no dust altho the fans go to 100% power on boot?
this may be connected to the bios problem.

psu wize its fine no problems at all.

how can i find out what i have blown?? if i have done?
i can still boot to disk.

if you have tested CPU and done Tests on Memory, replaced bios battery and check for heat issues, and your power supply is fine.
Then its got to be Motherboard issus, maybe you last hope would be to flash bios in case it corrupt, but there is not much else it can be.
