Hello everybody. My problem is --- that my HDD was not in "My Computer" after reinstalling Wn7. I tried everything I could from Unstalling- installing the HDD, check on disk management, etc. Anyways it was detected by BIOS, it is in Device Manager, Disk Management. What I noticed were the following when I do Disk Management;
1. HDD do not have any option when I right click except for HELP.
2. No File system on System column, compared to my HDD (1st HDD with OS ).
3. Status column - Healthy (Recovery Partition)
4. No volume.
These is my built:
AMD Phenom 560 BE
MSI 785GT-E63 mobo
Hitachi HDD 160GB
Samsung Spinpoint 1TB (Problem HDD )
DDR2 4GB RAM
GeForce 8600GT.

Thank you very much!

Could be several reason...

Is the HDD active.. Right click on the partitions and make sure they are Active.

Windows doesn't necessarily install all the needed drivers for your machine after a clean install, you may need to find them manually from the manufacturer or vendor website.

Make sure all cable and wires on the HDD are secure and not come loose of disconnected... it is possible.

Run the appropriate Diagnostic tool to see if there are any issues - see here - http://www.briteccomputers.co.uk/forum/hard-drive-support/drive-diagnostic-utilities/

Have you checked the device manager for any other issues?

Also have you turned on the windows update and installed all the important updates??

You said you re installed windows 7 but had you windows 7 prior or another OS?

Thanks Bugsy for immediate reply. I did check all connection and its all good (BIOS detected), downloaded all updates, no issues on device Manager. In Disk Management when I right click the problem disk, it only shows HELP. HDD is online (Healthy - Recovery Partition ) but I noticed there is no File System after the HDD capacity. Is it possible to use adapter like USB to SATA just to copy all my files and reformat the disk, after exhausting all resources?
Again thank you!
