i have bought a sony vaio laptop there were some problems wit my laptop so i gave it to a engineer when i got my laptop back my wireless internet only works in my house but not anywhere else. i took it to my families house i tried to connect to the internet in their house it say no internet acess with a yellow triangle then i tried to acess the internet from somebody elses house still the same issue so 4 days ago  i figured out it could be due to the dns some i looked at some videos on youtube so i changed the tcp protocal prefered dns into 8.8.8.8 and the alternative to 8.8.4.4 it worked for  3 days and it stopped working again.

my wireless network adapter is atheros ar9285

i need help

If it is working ok at your home, its got to be a setting that your doing when trying to connect to another network.

so what can i do how can i fix this problem , how can i reset what should be reseted and do i need to update the driver now it is'nt working at home either. do i need to install a different wireless adapter driver.
