dear sir, I am contacting you from france. after getting desperate from fixing my netbook.

I have done a ccleaner then reboot my pc and now I am getting a blue screen error. I tried to do windows recovery, to recreate bootsector trough ms command prompt but no success.
it seems that it doesnt read the windows installation, yet I am able to access drive C trough the ms command and I can see that all my files are there.

I really prefer to do all manouevre to be able again to refix the normal booting trough MS commands or else,
otherwise by installing win7 on another partition, or by reinstalling win7 without loosing data, or at worse cases how to backup my all data.

thank you very much

the problem is that as I said : I am not able to access anything.
it seems the c installation is missing.
when I boot on a win flash boot disk, I can access the Install Window window, but I am not able to do Upgrade.
I can only do Custom install.

may be the boot win version is older.
so what is the solution.
can I do a custom install on another partition different than C: drive or not ?

otherwise, first can I repair trough ms commands the boot sector ?

thanks for ur fast reply.

Hi there,

Can you post up your system specs and other information as indicated here? http://www.briteccomputers.co.uk/forum/windows-7-support/please-read-before-posting-747/

This will help in tremendously in resolving you problem. What is the BSOD error that you are getting?

Did you make a Registry Backup when you ran CCleaner?

Thanks,

thanks.

I have a netbook machine (ACER ONE)
WIN 7 ultimate
2GB RAM

the error is a bluescreen after trying to load win at start :
" A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer
..............................................................................
STOP: 0X0000007B (0X80786B58, 0XC0000034, 0X000000000, 0X000000000)"

i can boot the machine and get access to ms command prompt. but I am not able to fix the BCD store.
I did : bootsector mbr fix and recreate but it seems the pc is not able to see the installation root.

when i boot trough a win 7 usb flash and try to do an UPGRADE, it doest allow me to do.
I'm afraid that doing a Custom install will erase my documents and folders.

do u think we can rebuild the BCD store trough MS or I have to do a Custom install.
I prefer to do a work around trough MS commands or usb flash to fix the problem.

thx and regards

Hi Amy

There is a good guide on how to fix your error by following this guide below

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/stop0x0000007b.htm

I had this error myself and on 4 other computers and I used this fix below and it worked a treat. Yours may be different to mine so use the guide if it dont fix your problem.
Fix: Change the SATA mode in BIOS to IDE mode. Disabling some of the advanced features of SATA drives in BIOS could stop the STOP 0x0000007B error from showing up, especially if you're seeing it during a Windows installation.

Hope this helps you out
