Hi Britec, How are you?
I am experiencing an issue with my windows fax and scan. I used it earlier this week just fine, but today I am getting a not responding message when I select the option to connect to a fax modem. Also at the bottom of the screen the message no fax accounts are configured appears, but it is not allowing me to reconfigure it. I have used the turn windows features off and on, restarted the computer and still nothing. Please advise if you have a solution. Thank you in advance. Yashica

Please perform the following steps to troubleshoot this issue:

1. Remove Fax role on TS server.

2. Naviate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax, check if there is any legacy registry keys. If so, please remove them.

Note: Please do a backup for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax before modifying anything.

3. Now reboot the server and reinstall the Fax role.

Does it work?

If the problem continues, please take the time to collect the MPS report on TS server.

1. Download proper MPS Report tool from the website below.

Microsoft Product Support Reports
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=CEBF3C7C-7CA5-408F-88B7-F9C79B7306C0&displaylang=en

2. Double-click to run it, if requirement is not met, please follow the wizard to download and install them. After that, click Next, when the "Select the diagnostics you want to run" page appears, select "General", “Internet and Networking”, “Business Networks”, “Server Components”, click Next.

3. After collecting all log files, choose "Save the results", choose a folder to save <Computername>MPSReports.cab file.
