When I turn the laptop on it shows me the dell sign then gives the normal options for f12 or f2 then it just goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor on the top right. I tried going to the advanced menu where safe mode is at but it wont go to it, I also tried the windows disk and tried the repair startup option and also tried system restore and none works. I dont really know what else I can try or if im missing something I really dont want to reinstall any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum
black screen with a blinking cursor, It could be a MBR Bootkit Virus. Have you tried a chkdsk /r and Bootrec /FixMbr and then Bootrec /FixBoot. in Recovery Console?

ok so I tried that and it got it to go a little further this time but now im getting the bsod i tried safe mode and and last known good config and gives me the bsod with code 0x0000007b I tried looking up the code but didnt really find alot on it.
