i have had a couple of computers with a windows boot problem and the auto start up repair does not fix the problem.

i have tried inserting the CD and running the start up repair but if cant find a problem so i tried the CD`s system restore and went back to many different point but the are all unable to complete the restore.

and i cant see if you can do the fixmbr and fixboot dos ways of windows xp

i am at the give up point and about to remove the hard drive and backup all the files and do a full reinstall

please help

hi Brian

i have now tried the fix boot and fix mbr and i am still having problems it keeps jumping to start-up repair and giving me an error massage took a picture to show

any ideas welcome
