Hi Rob how are you getting on with the reinstallation sorry to here about that and it was a shame it was the same one

you said about a program called Knoppix i have heard about this program before where did you download it and what version is it

if you could put a link up on the fourm for us that would be great so we can get a copy of it also is it in English

You can try to use the installation disk of Vista. Or you can also try to select safe mode with command prompt. Then, you must type sfc/scannow and run a check disk scan. In addition, you can try the startup repair as well as the command prompt for fixmbr and fixboot, although they may just make your computer restart into safe mode automatically. In the past, I have tried System Restore but the process was not really successful. Hope this windows fix works for you.

Hi Britec:

I have pretty much the same problem, these instruction don’t apply for me.
After update to SP1 it restarted and goes to “Window Error Recovery”
It tells me 1-insert installation disc and restart 2- choose your language setting 3- click repair your computer.
I don’t have my installation disc.
Nothing works when I choose safe mode, command prompt, last known or start normally it restarts the computer and comes back to the same screen.

I would appreciate any advice and help.
