missing erecovery for acer asphire

i have acer asphire 4730z, my erecovery is missing, i downloaded the erecovery app but when i install it, it says "can not be installed - 6. softwaredisc .. what does it mean??? help pls!

Ok, can you please give more information.

Where did you download from, is it enabled in BIOS settings, what was the last thing you did before this happened?

You should be able to access it by pressing ALT + F10 after bios post

You could try downloading it again, get the latest version,from a different location and reinstall. You may have got a dodgy copy. Worth a try.

If you did not delete the hidden partition PQSERVICE, it is possible to restore your system without disks. As tf76 says, Press Alt+F10 when you start your

computer on the ACER screen and you can do a factory reset from there.
