Hi there I have a computer from as friend that has a problem with start menu all programs
when you go to this location the programs are missing.

os windows vista
ram 3GB
Make Accer e machine

is there any way I can get this working right again when you install new programs it just puts a dead icon in there and not the correct files
however when you go to C:\program files you can take a file out of there and use the shorcut any help would be great.

The computer had 35 infections origanly but they where cleared of infections 6 hours later

Many thanks

 Azn Bradley

Give this a try

First, login as Administrator (or equivalent) and execute this command from Start, Run dialog:

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

Restart Windows.
