Hello! After 4 years without problems my HP Pavillion dv9000 is not working. I put it on sleep, and after returning and opening it, it stood at the "user screen" for about 10 minutes, so I decided to close it from the switch. When I opened it, I got the message: "Operating system not found". After restarting it several times I got the option to run Startup Repair, but I choose to start windows normally. I downloaded a recovery CD for Vista x64, but when I went to repair, it said that it doesn't find the OS, and it asks me to browse. When I open the browse window, I can see a partition called "X" and "C", but when I clicked C, it said that it needs to format it before use. Not being able to select an OS, I clicked Next anyway, went to repair and ran it. After restarting the PC, I now got a new Error: "Invalid Partition Table". I have also took apart the laptop, but the Hard Disk was clean with no dust. After searching the web/youtube, I came over you guys, and the YT videos seemed really good, so I said I will give this a go.
System Specs: HP Pavillion dv9000, Laptop OS: Windows Vista ( almost all the updates, probably missing the last set) PRocessor: Intel Core 2 Duo, CPU T5750 4GB Ram, 2000 MHZ
