Hi, hope someone can help me with this....

My laptop is a Packard Bell Easynote MH36 from what the bios screen says.

When I start up the laptop the bios starts up then I just see a black screen, the fan is going and a permanent amber light on front of the laptop.

It was suggested that I try using the vista recovery cd, I tried this and went through the startup repair but that came up that it was unable to automatically fix my problem.

So how can I go about fixing this,

Aaron...

if you have done every thing you can in recovery console
You could try a windows repair installation and if that fails, its a hardware problem
