When I boot up my computer I get the normal boot screen then get another boot screen which says vista loader v2 then a load of numbers and letters all down the black screen and square box with some writing in it the computer works fine but since I activated vista with a activation software I get second boot screen i have restore but that did not work I think it is a script that come up.
I used the activation tool because I uninstalled something called OEM information from the programs and features then said that windows needs activating that when the dell badge vanished like I said I used system restore and got the dell badge back but it not cure script in the boot.
I did ask someone about this and they said it is probably a script telling windows it is genuine.

No it was not a pirate copy the bloke who did my computer said it was genuine but he did not have licence for it it was working fine until I uninstalled the oem information from the programme and features then said that you have 3 days to activate it I also lost the dell logo but then did a system restore and got the dell logo and information back but still had to activate it so that I needed the activation tool to activate it when he put it on the computer it was already activated but I uninstalled the dell oem logo and information that is when I lost the logo and information the second black screen which only happened when I used the vista loader which loads a logo on the system properties an the vista activation tool.
What i boot up is this is what happen you get the normal boot screen then a blinking cursor at the top then another screen full of writing with numbers and letters it is only the for a few seconds.

But I think VistaLoader v2.2.0 is a crack... so you are now running a pirate copy of Vista. and if it is a crack the pc tech should not of put it on your machine.

the pc tech did not put the crack on my machine i did everything was legit up until i messed with it like i said i had my vista for just over a year and no problems till i decided to try the vista loader which which took out the badge that was in the sytem proberties then i saw the OEM logo and information in the programme and features and i did not think it belonged there so i unintalled it that is when it asked me to activate it when i clicked on activate windows it said it was not genuine but up until then it had never asked me to activate it , it must have been a crack the did that i have had no probems downloading updates for windows and it all works find but it is the boot screen that is puzzling me aslo in the system properties window the product id has five numbers the OEM them some more numbers like this xxxx-oem-xxxxxxx-xxxxx where x represents a number.

I am sorry mate I can show you how to fix your problem when your trying to crack Windows Vista. If you type VistaLoader v2.2.0 in google your see instructions on what to do. Who knows what these cracks do to the operating system and what changes they make.
Note: You have been having these problems since you installed the VistaLoader v2.2.0 crack so the answer to your problem is VistaLoader v2.2.0 crack
If you have lost you Windows Key.. Just buy a new legit key, problem solved.

Hi there,
For What Its Worth.
I had a client with exactly the same problem on a Dual Boot Toshiba,Vista & WIN 7, booting to Win 7 as the first OS and everything was fine, at least appearing to be so. But when booted to Vista it was always asking to activate within three days, both on boot and every so often. If you clicked on Activate later it cleared it off only to reappear shortly afterwards. Even entering the C.O.A. made no difference.
The laptop was supplied with Vista Pre-installed. When I enquired where they had got the Win 7 from, surprise, surprise, it had been installed by a friend of a friend who 'happened to have a 'spare copy' of Win 7! Needless to say, when I explained that it was more than likely a pirated copy, the Client would have none of it until I contacted Toshiba in order to convince the client, and received this reply:
Thank you for your email, it would appear that a bug has occurred within the Microsoft operating system causing it to say that it is not legal, this may have happened after running Microsoft updates, other possible reasons for this are if the operating system has been upgraded to another version of the same operating system or if it has been installed onto a computer other than the Toshiba SATELLITE P200-123. Unfortunately the only fix available is to reinstall the operating system from the Toshiba recovery disc, running this disc will delete the hard drive and reinstall the software as it was when it left our factory, all user data would be lost, so we recommend backing up important files/pictures/data before running the recovery.
Uninstalling any updates were pointless, removal of Win 7 was the only answer short of a re-install. The Client finally agreed so off we go.Fortunately this was straightforward enough, wiped it off the second drive it was installed on.
Booted into Vista no problem, no activation requests, nothing but the OS working properly. Problem solved,Job done,Point Proven, Lesson Learned.
Cheers,
ticker
