 Azn everyone,
I have a problem with a Vista PC the strange thing is the usb keyboard and mouse will not work, they light up at boot up but then go out as the O/S is gets to the desktop. I wanted to just do a repair but was knocked back at the first hurdle because it does not show the O/S and asks for "Load drivers" I understand it may be the sata driver it is looking for but where do I find the sata driver ? ? Other usb devices work except the keyboard and mouse.

Any suggestions please thanks guys take care.        Wink

Hi mate -

Have you always used the above USB kit? or PS/2 until now? If not I have had to check the BIOS for USB peripheral support, it's usually called Legacy Support for.... Legacy Mode for .... etc. As I'm sure you know, if they light up at POST they are connected properly. Worth a shot?

Hope I have helped

Ah I see mate. I honestly have no idea why it won't all allow you repair it. If it were me I'd check my recent updates/patches and if no joy then reimage to see if as you say it was just temporary insanity from Vista.

Hopefully when Brian comes online he will have a few ideas.  Hope you can get it fixed
