Hi,
I have Toshiba Satellite Laptop which came with Pre-Installed windows Vista.
It had been working just fine until today.Now when I try to start it up the power light comes on and I can hear the HD working but there is no movement on the screen.Its black (Just like it is when the laptop is off).
The F8 key doesn't help either!
Ive downloaded the Recovery Disc but cannot get the system to boot from the CD Because I don't know how to change BIOS settings!

plug monitor in back of laptop see if you get picture.

what does this mean if your laptop requires you to plug monitor in to see if you get picture? does it mean the laptop is damaged or something.

Black Screen on boot can be a number of things, just wanted to make sure its not a screen issue, which it is less than likely but got to check it.
