Hello.

I wonder if someone can share a thought on this one?

've been having a couple of nigs with a couple of hard drives.

My Boot Drive which is a WD 80gig and a Samsung F3 1tb for my Programs and games.

I was noticing a slowness in performance, and I decided to take a peak in event viewer:

I followed the info from this link: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=262448

The problem still remains I'm thinking it's a fault with the hard drive?

With the other Drive via event viewer it's on about that the drive needs an update of firmware found the drive in question:

I download the file and burned the file onto disk didn't work (Not booting from the Disk)

Can anyone help?

 Azn Rob

Looks like you drive maybe bad.

Scan the disk with WD's datalifeguard diagnostics and see if it identifies any physically bad sectors.

Also try CrystalDiskInfo

http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskInfo/index-e.html

hope this helps you out.

Hey Brian good to hear from you! :-)

Just an update for you earlier today I ran "PC Check" on the Drive and it reports no bad Sectors but Ile give WD data lifeguard a try.

Cheers.

Hi Brian

I ran CrystalDiskInfo and HD Sentenel - They both say the Hard Drives are "Healthy"  will run the Diagnostic in a while.
