Dear:  PC Expert

I follow your videos on You Tube and am very very helpful how ever I am stock and need an advice from an expert like you.

Have a Microsoft Windows Professional (Dell Inspiron E1505).

I got a virus while ago and since then I got the problem. I think this was taking away with the virus .

I tied run>cmd>system or system32  to find keeps tells does not recognize it this path .

And The folder; C:windows/System32  say does exist or is corrupt.

Now try so many ways to fix it and I could not. And I can not move around my pc.

What can I  do to get this fix. I DO NOT have the CD Rom in order to replace it.

I look on net to download just the system/system32 folder I did not find anywhere.

I went here at Microsoft site http://tinyurl.com/3b3dxyb and i found some info but they did not solve my problem.

I did a C cleaner run on my registry and I Found the fowling  address

rundll32.xe C:/windows/eHome/ehuilp.dll,BootMediaCenter ( this location is very strange ,!  Is location correct ?

 I also did a following path :

 My computer> C:\Documents and Settings\user\WINDOWS\system

This location is empty nothing there . I don’t, know why or what suppost to be there?

  If I go here : C:\WINDOWS   > I  DO NOT see or find system32 or  rundll32.exe

  New I did a search in side of  Windows  and found 2 folders came up as results;

  Found 2  folders :

C:\WINDOWS\I386\SYSTEM32
C:\WINDOWS\system32

Note they are 2 different folders .  here is what they have :

Like this: C:\WINDOWS\system32 > this folder has a lots of files.

This one C:\WINDOWS\I386\SYSTEM32  has only 2 file called

   NT.DLL  and another SMSS .

Now I press back in my pc and I arrive on file called

C:\WINDOWS\I386  here inside also has a lots of files .

So I did a search for RunDll32.exe and I found it.

Now I copy and the file I found rundll32.e.xe  and  went to

C:windows/system32/ past the file here rundll32e.xe and save and re-start my pc .

Guess what nothing change .  I realize this all the files in side i386 has a image . and this file was/is plain with no image I thing it my be damage.

I did again a search inside for : Rundll32.exe and there  and the same the seems to plain with no image . sounds like the file is corrupt or gone .

 Please help !!

Base on your  knowledge what will be my options in this case.

I thought about:

1)   Find a system32 in replace it. (Download on net or else’s where.
2)   Back-up all my data and re-installed the windows. In this case I would like to know if it will be better to install the latest version which I believe is 7(please correct if I am wrong).
3)   Plus which will be the best way to make a full back-up from my pc data. is there any software or online program you could recommend ?

If have a place or tutorial how to fix this please guide me in .

Beyond this point I don’t know what to do next. And I really appreciate your Help.

 Thank you in advance
 Fabio from NYC.

Getting Hijackthis and installing it correctly

•   Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
•   Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
•   By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
•   Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
•   Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
•   Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
•   At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
•   Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
•   Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
•   Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
•   Paste the log in your next reply.
•   If you haven't already posted then start a new thread in the Virus/Trojan/Spyware/Malware forum
•   DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
