My friend started a recovery on the computer, and now when we turn it on we get the error message about <windows root> system32 being missing or corrupted.  We have an Acer Aspireone which we recieved from a friend, but have no recovery disk for it.  The computer doesnt even have a cd-rom, is there a cheap way of fixing the problem with no recovery disk or cd-rom drive???

Your going to have to use a USB Pen Drive device to fix this problem or external cd drive

if you want to wipe the machine your going to need to get a windows cd & external cd drive or use USB Pen Drive and install windows from that.

if you want to try and fix issues your going to need USB Pen Drive and use software tools link ERD Commander, UBCD4WIN, Windows Live CD, Spotmau PowerSuite. etc etc
