Greetings all! First off @ Brian, three cheers for all of your great vids on youtube and for this forum!! I watched you video and read the forum post on:  "How to Create and Make Bootable Windows 7 ISO from EXE Plus Setup1.Box and Setup". I've watched the video about 10 times and read the forum post over and over, but I'm stuck. I've got a new (used) PC with an empty HD waiting for an OS. I've downloaded Windows 7 Ultimate and need to burn it to an ISO. Right now I'm on a 7 year old emachines T1120 running XP 32 bit OS. I have a 1.3 GHz processor, 1 Gb of RAM and 80 Gb HD. First, looking at the video when you showed the files extracted there were 8, I have 9. The same ones as in the video plus a 1Kb XML Document labeled mediameta. I understood from the video that I need to place the oscdimg.exe file in my sytem 32 folder, but wasn't sure where. On my PC to get to system 32 I have to go to C>Documents and Settings>Steve>Local Settings>Temp>wwzseo.temp>windows>system 32. This doesn't seem right to me, but When I go to C>Docments and Settings>Steve>Windows, it's an empty folder. Could someone please give me some direction on exactly where this file should be placed. I tried putting it in the system 32 folder then entered all the proper command prompts and I got "oscdimg is not recognized as as internal or external command, operable program or batch fail". One other item, when I hit Start>Run and enter cmd I go straight to the command prompt box with no ability to choose "run as administrator" as shown in the video. So, that's where I'm at. As you may or may not know I'm not new to computers just have never gotten this far "in" to computers. Any and all help would be most appreciated.

thanx,
Steve

Welcome to the forum
the correct location for system32 is C:\windows\System32
so go to run
Type C:\windows\system32
this will open system32 in windows system32 all the commands for command prompt are placed in this folder just place the
executable file you named into system32 when using windows xp you only need to be an administrator you do not need to run as administrator you already have the rights it is only that of windows vista and 7 that you have to run as administrator because a local administrator dose not have the rights and needs to run along with the built in account

this can also be done if desired if you hold the shift key and right click on command prompt in XP

How ever for this to work you would need to have a password on the administrator account but it is not needed realy

Here is how to add a password to the Administrator account if you wanted to complete the task the way of clicking shift and run as administrator

open command prompt

type

net user Administrator *

password: What ever it may be
password: What ever it may be

Enter

then close cmd

on the command prompt Icon Hold Shift Key Down Right Click Select run as Administrator then click it

Enter the Administrator account password and click ok then it will run as administrator

once you have done this follow the instructions on the screen and you will be good any more help needed please feel free to ask me and I will help you

Kind Regards

Bradley,

Thanks man for gettin' back to me so quickly. As I stated I'm a noob. What do I type in at the command prompt to get the oscdimg.exe into sytem 32 where it needs to be to write the ISO. Thanks again.
