Hi, i have just watched your video on how to fix a pc which has a missing hal.dll file on youtube. In the video it says to use windows xp cd's, but i do not have any windows xp cd's so how would i go about fixing this problem. Its my dads computer, and he doesnt want to do a full system restore as it would delete all of his files. You will be a huge help. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum
Download a copy of this  BritecRecoveryConsole.iso
select BritecRecoveryConsole.iso
Burn the file to a iso burner and burn it to a cd
once you have burned this to a cd run the cd from your computer by clicking F10 or F5 on older computers
select the cd / dvd and run the disk and click repair this

follow the instuctions of the vidio and reboot

Hope this helps you if you have any further questions let me know and I will help you futher

Bradley
