Hi everyone iv ran into a issue on my very reliable laptop.
ok so im working as usal then all of a sudden i get disconnected from the web.
so i go and cheak the little icon and get it to run a scan of wirless in the area and it comes back askin me to turn on the wireless on the laptop.
so i cheak the driver and there is no wireless button on the laptop.
so then i download a tool from NirSoft
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_network_view.html
and that finds the wireless signals fine. so i just reboot and it works fine.
so what caused that problem and should i replace my wireless card?

Here is the laptop model and spec
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-42218.html

Ok on another note i recently switched Router because the one i was using my laptop could not see. are these problems connected?

Are you using the Windows XP’s built-in wireless utility—known as Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC)

Ok this is goning to sound strange.
so im sitting out side running off the battery i start to play a song then i go to connect to a wifi spot and i can not seem to get it up yet i know its right by me. but then i noticed every time i clicked to scan the speakers would cut out.
so i cheaked to see if a process is taking up all my resources and everything is normal.
so then i go and press the mute button on the speaker. and then the wirless seems to work fine.

Ok so from that is ther  a program or tool i can boot to or run were i can direct power and cut off power to curtain parts of the computer?
Iv tryed to reply the card.

davedudeit these wireless problems can be a pain in the arse without looking at them. something must be interfering with the signal.

hmm
iv replaced the card and i still have the same problem on more that 2  routers.
i know it would be abit of a effort as your so busy but  you could team viewer it to see the laptop yourself.
