Recover data on formated drive - Windows 8 - NTFS - Brian6421 - 09-17-2014 I have by accident formated my data disk on laptop, instead of an attached USB drive. To make everything worse I did it twice....... I right clicked the drive and choose format (Quick Format). I have tried to recover the data with numerious tools from the web like, TestDrive, EaseUS, ReclaiMe, WonderShare etc. Unfortunately without luck. The disk is SSD on a Samsung laptop, Wiindows 8.1 is the OS. Does anyone have a suggestion on howto proceed? Or have I really managed to remove the data completely from the drive. Inputs are appriciated RE: Recover data on formated drive - Windows 8 - NTFS - Britec - 09-17-2014 Was this the software you used for data recovery? https://www.easeus.com/data-recovery/other-recovery-software/SSD-drive-recovery.htm RE: Recover data on formated drive - Windows 8 - NTFS - TopFreeware - 09-18-2014 testdisk works most of the time. It's best to run it outside of the O/S. Did you use it correctly? Did you run it from a boot disk? I know that UBCD has it on it and most other Linux ones do as well. Here is the official tutorial page: https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Step_By_Step RE: Recover data on formated drive - Windows 8 - NTFS - Britec - 09-22-2014 Post closed due to lack of response. |
