Yeah but with a clean install but the manufacturer only displays drivers for windows 10 but on the quick start guide it says hp 15 f272wm is compatible with 8.1 and 10

I know most drivers in Windows 8.1 are compatible with Windows 10 "depending on the hardware and what company it's made by". If HP is saying that it's compatible... Then it should be ok.

Smirk I have noticed on a number of times that you have used a poor title for your posts.
For this post:
Example: I have a question
I have changed to: Are Windows 8.1 Drivers Compatible With Windows 10
Please try and use titles that are relevant to your post, this helps people to find it on the search feature of the forum and also helps with SEO.
I have noticed a lot of people doing this and it takes me time to keep changing them, please take the time to think of a good title.
