Dual Boot
#1
I have a Dell laptop that has XP installed. I would like to keep the XP for using programs but from what I have been told they won't work with Windows 10.

Basically since they ended support for XP I haven't used the pc.

Is it possible to dual boot XP and Windows 10. Or are the two not compatible?

I have watched a few videos on AvoidErrors about dual booting but wasn't able to find anything regarding this.

Thanks for any help.

If you have Win 10 ISO then it may be possible, however, you would first have to determine if your system can handle the Win 10 by checking out the specs of your machine and comparing them to What Win 10 Needs To Run

One way of doing this would be to run the Win 8 Upgrade Assistant, if it's possible for Win 8 to run then Win 10 should be OK.

If all is well then you would need to create a partition to install Win 10 onto.
