about upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10

i don't know if my computer can upgrade or not
Model: HP Compaq dc7800 Small Form Factor
Model number: AQ532US#ABA
can i upgrade to 10?

  1. Make sure you have all you're data backed up.
  2. Make a Backup Image or Clone of the drive in case something goes wrong.
  3. Install Windows 10 by Upgrade first and Windows should be activated.

Frankly speaking, if you have the option to do a clean install (like backup all your data and make sure you have all the media to reinstall your existing programs then do a clean install of windows 10.
Upgrading programs is one thing and upgrading operating systems is another.

One good practice though to add to BRITEC is to remove any anti-virus before you perform the upgrade, this way it does not get in the way of updating registry or copying files.

I realize you may have already done the upgrade but this is to help others in the future that may run into the same scenario. Smile
