Thanks for the help, but this did not solve the problem, I was ok with installing but I was getting asked for a product key, I tried all versions of windows 8.0 and 8.1 with not luck 
I called microsoft and go no help, usual fobbing off
HOWEVER! the answer to my question is WINDOWS 8.1 WITH BING
its designed for low end machines as the manufacture gets it for free and has to leave the default browser as IE with bing as the default search engine, I hope this can help someone out.
