ASUS PRO5IJ wont turn on

Dear All,

I'm kindly asking you to give me any advice regarding two problems as below:

ASUS PRO5IJ problem is that my friend bought new charger for this Laptop and when he connected this Laptop wont turn on?

ACER Aspire 5315 after every restart is losing audio driver and no sound, after reinstall of audio driver Laptop is giving sound again?

Please guys come back to me as soon as possible and tell me what steps should I take to fix these two problems.

Make sure you use a Compatible Asus pro5ij Power DC Adapter. Do you have a link to the power adapter you got?
DC Jack could be Bad or Broke

The ASUS PRO5IJ power adapter requires 19v 4.7Amos. Be sure that the adapter meets those specs.

If installing the sound driver on the other laptop fixed the problem then I would not be concerned about.

Guys thank you for your quick reply, Brian that Laptop is not mine but friend of mine I will get both Laptops tomorrow but I'm curious to know is it possible that he damaged anything in mobo when he connected new charger?

You're have to take a look at the motherboard and adapter to know whats happening with the laptop.

unplug battery then hold down start button for about a minute then plug battery back in then the new charger. Are you getting any charger light when u plug the new charger in on the laptop.? If the new charger is above the rated voltage of the laptop that's not good new's if it is under the rated voltage then i would just try a different charger.

you can go higher on apms but you can't go higher or lower on the volts

of the laptop changer
