Testing Laptop DC power jack

I would like to know how I can test any Laptop DC power jack using a Multi-meter, I'm posting this thread here because I never did any test on DC power jack in any Laptop, I was always scary and now I want to learn how to test any in all Laptops. Please guys could you give me your best help and advice regarding this thread.
