AOMEI Onekey Recovery error
#1
Hi guys,

I'm trying to create a recovery partition using AOMI after watching Brian's video. But it keeps failing.

The stats:
Windows 10 Pro x86. fully updated and Malware free (for sure) HDD checked for errors using chkdsk. and also ran seatools, no problem. I had a Virtual HDD (expanding) which i deleted and used AOMI Partition assistant to merge the unallocated partition to my C: drive, which it did OK.

When I start AOMI (latest version) it goes through the process and it reports everything is fine and that it had no errors. Once it reboots into PE mode, it starts the backup, but I get a failed to create image error. When I log back into windows and check the disk management, I have an unallocated 56Gb partition created by said program.

I then try to run the program again (both with and without merging the new partition) but I either get an error saying the initial install failed, which is before it reboots into pe mode (if I don't delete the unallocated space first) or it installs with no errors (if i delete the partition first) but then fails to create the image after it reboots.

Any ideas guys?
Remember! You should exercise complete CTRL and you ALT to think carefully before you DELete stuff willy nilly.

You might need to ask the creator of the software - Aomeitech. They will know more than anyone about issues you are suffering, because they created the software.
