Hello everyone, so yesterday i bought the Intel 750 Serie on a sale, and i got the Asus Z97-K motherboard. So my question is do i need to change my graphiccard position "To one further down PCI-E slot" to be able to get best performance out of my Intel 750 Serie? So my question is will i still get the same performance if im using the PCI-E slot below my graphiccard for the SSD instead of using the one above where my GTX 980 is at? Sorry if this question is a bit messy, but i really dont know how to explain it that well. If you have any question i will be glady to answer them, since this my first question regarding PC's.

Intel 750 series SSD will operate in any PCIe slot, but you will get full performance in PCIe Gen 3 slot. But if that slot is being utilized by another card its recomended to use the secondary psychical x16 slot on that motherboard. both X99 and Z97 will operate that drive at full bandwidth because all PCIe slots are wired to PCIe lanes from the CPU to support SLI and CROSSFIRE PCIe Gen 3.0 operation.

1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (max at x4 mode, black) *1

Note
*1: The PCIe x1_1, PCIe x1_2 slots share bandwidth with PCIe x16_2. The PCIe x16_2 slot runs at x2 mode as default. Please check BIOS for more configuration.
*2: M.2 Socket 3 shares bandwidth with SATA6G_5 & SATA6G_6 ports.
*3: These functions will work depending on the CPU installed.
*4: Use a chassis with HD audio module in the front panel to support an 8-channel audio output.

. So now i dont need to buy a new motherboard, and i can just use the 2nd Pci-E slot for the Intel 750 Serie.
