Virus Blocking my internet Access through browser and also blocks windows defender
#1
Hello forum, I come to ask your help.

I allowed my cousin to use my laptop and he went to piratebay and downloaded an episode of simpsons, he told me that when he tried to play the file, it asked to install a codec and after that windows deffender poped up claiming that the computer was inffected and it needed to restart to clean it. He did so.

After the computer restarted, there was no access to internet through google chrome or internet explorer, I noticed that it installed Opera browser and some other software. It also blocked access to windows deffender, i was receiving a message that it was off by group policy definition.

So, I made a system restore to 3 days before, it didnt solve the problem. I isntalled AVG and it detected 3 viruses but it didnt solve the problem either.

I received 2 messages that poped on my screen, one was> Run DLL: There was a problem starting C:\\USERS\Myname\AppData\Local\Abbie\zBin\Abbie.dlll
The specified module could not be found.

the other message was> BulutezS
Run-Time error '-2147012889 (80072ee7)':
the server name or address could not be resolved

I uninstalled AVG from my computer, restarted the computer and windows deffender is now available again, somehow. I am also getting internet access, but it is very slow compared to my friend's computer, which is the computer I am using to write this post.

I followed this tutorial https://askleo.com/how_do_i_remove_a_virus_if_it_prevents_me_from_download_or_installing_anything/
installed Rkill, downloaded Antimalware Bytes and I am doing a threat scan right now. I feel that I already got rid of the virus, somehow, but it left my internet access super slow.

It takes so long to open any website right now. I am a little bit frustrated searching for fixes for this now. Can anyone please please give me some suggestion to fix this issue?

best regards,
Gabriel Fronza

I also found out that when I turn the firewall off my access get way better, but not perfect yet Sad
