I should point out that is an old write up, I know Chris from HTG and I think he may have written an update to this (can't remember now).
But it should be noted that Secure Boot as a Constant is only for ARM processors (think MS Surface tablet as an example) and not for general devices as HP, Dell etc would find themselves losing money if they adopted this approach universally.
However, if it did ever happen (and it wont) the Linux community would just create their own KeK for various devices again hitting major brands sales drastically.
As long as people stay away from Win 10 OEM devices (and I don't know why they would ever take that route with a non efficiently working OS at present) then there is no need to panic.
