mprove Windows searches using the index: frequently asked questions

How do I troubleshoot problems with search and indexing?
If you are experiencing problems with searching, such as unusually slow searches or incomplete search results, run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter to see if it can diagnose the problem.

Open the Search and Indexing troubleshooter by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Click View all, and then click Search and Indexing.

Depending on the severity of the problem, the Search and Indexing troubleshooter might need to restart the Windows Search service.

Take a look at this link

Cortana and Taskbar Search not working in Windows 10

Open an elevated Powershell prompt, type the following command and hit Enter:

Code:
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Still not working?

1. Open an elevated command prompt >  Right click Start Bitton  > click  Command Prompt Admin
2. Type taskkill /im searchui.exe in the command prompt
3. Press enter
4. Close Command Prompt

Apart from the troubleshooting steps which has been suggested above. If that doesn't work
1. Change language pack US OR UK English, if you want to use the one which you are using already, remove the existing one and try to add again or manually install the language pack.
2.Go to region under control panel, check your location.
3. Perform Clean Boot, Disable start up from msconfig and all the services except windows, remove the respective entry from HKLM/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/SHRED TOOLS/MSCONFIG/SERVICES - all the entry under services. For 64 bit computer - check in another location as well HKLM/SOFTWRAE/WOW6432NODE/MICROSOFT/SHAREDTOOLS/MSCONFIG (IF NO SERVICES ARE THEIR IN WOW 6432 , it's alright). Restart the computer.

Please update of your resolution.
