I have looked at your Crash Dump file and the issue is.

Crash Dump Analysis

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Crash dump directory: C:\Windows\Minidump

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

On Wed 27/01/2016 18:05:23 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\012716-16359-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: dxgmms2.sys (dxgmms2+0x1FBA)

Bugcheck code: 0x3B (0xC0000005, 0xFFFFF800F3A71FBA, 0xFFFFD00022E5FD00, 0x0)

Error: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
Bug check description: This indicates that an exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: dxgmms2.sys .
Google query: dxgmms2.sys SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One crash dump has been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

dxgmms2.sys

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things to try:

Quote:play Starbound and within a few hours I blue screened
  • Its possible your computer is overheating after hours of play, it could also be a bug in the game Starbound, does it crash on other games?
  • If you start to get BSOD on other games and on Furmark and you say you have reinstalled windows (was this a clean install where you wipe everything on the computer and had to reinstall all games and updates?) if so it could be a hardware issue in your case.

Thank you for your huge reply, I will do what you suggested once I start my PC later, I would of agreed with you about the overheating except I keep an eye on my temps and I've played games such as: fallout 4, minecraft, GTA V and other CPU and GPU stressful games for Many many hours and temps don't normally exceed 60.C.

I would however agree it might be a Hardware issue but I'm unsure on how to find the broken hardware, also I've enabled a complete report from my settings for BSOD reports.

If it helps when I play starbound my FPS will slowly decrease overtime, same with a game called Unturned, I also use Cinema4D to do art/animation and this also leads to BSOD and GPU crashing.

Once I get back home I'll do what you have suggested and attempt to play Starbound, least if it re-crashes I'll have a complete report to send here.

Great news!

I've done a 3 Hours GPU Burn and not a single error, GPU crash or BSOD occurred, I'm shocked but I still need to test Starbound to see what results appear from that.

Yeah I might just agree with you there, it BSOD me just 5 mins ago, no idea if I got a complete report of not because the PC froze at 100% data collection, It would appear Starbound is highly unstable as I was watching my temps, MHZ clocks, fan speeds and other bits like a hawk and they were barely in use, only 38-40℃, One thing is for sure after the clean install of Win10 the PC is running everything far smoother than before but it would appear Starbound is to unstable to play at this time, I'll have a word with the makers or a support area.

Try uninstalling Starbound with Revo Uninstaller its free. Do a Advanced uninstall and remove all registry keys as well. Then try install Starbound  and all its updates and Patches.
