Return to Windows 8.1
#1
I did a Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 8.1 it well but lots of problems came about from updates and BSOD, and Driver issues, I did a bit of reading and found most people got a better use of Windows 10 with less problems from a clean install so I did this, and yes it worked well but still the same list of problems and different ones occur
whenever.
The question is if the windows old file is no longer there can I reinstall Windows 8 with the old COA code and will it be legal and work.

Yes you can. Just download the 8 or 8.1 iso from Microsoft.

Thanks for a quick reply, can I use my Windows 8 COA code or will I have to buy a new one, because technically it's now attached to Windows 10
upgrade.

OK thanks very for your help and I will do this tomorrow, it's just I was under the impression that you lost the COA Product code once you upgraded.

I have never seen a Windows 8 COA sticker. The license is embedded in the BIOS and the Installation code will look for that finger print in the BIOS. You will be fine.
